 International Cybersecurity Education Collaborative

The International Cybersecurity Education Collaborative (ICEC) is based on a collaborative network established between UK and US cyber security educators, in partnership with the US Federally funded, National Cybersecurity Training  and Education Center (NCyTE). This exciting program aims to build further collaboration with like-minded countries.

In support of this Collaborative, three special interest groups have been created:

Diversity Special Interest Group

This international Special Interest Group (SIG) aims to serve as a nexus where academia and industry converge. It aims to provide opportunities for shared innovation, knowledge exchange, practice exchange, and transformative collaboration.

NCyTE impacts international outreach and engagement (IO&E) with its academic counterparts in other countries. NCyTE’s IO&E is supported by U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Award No. 2054724, Activity 2.1: Conduct outreach to expand connections in the Eastern US and internationally (Goal 3, Objective 2).

NCyTE’s mission of advancing cybersecurity education for tomorrow's workforce and its IO&E are also directly aligned with the following national strategy pillars, goals, and lines of effort:

  • March 2023 National Cybersecurity Strategy: Pillar 5, Forge International Partnerships to Pursue Shared Goals
    • 5.2 Strengthen International Partner Capacity
    • 5.3 Expand US Ability to Assist Allies and Partners
    • 5.4 Build Coalitions to Reinforce Global Norms of Responsible State Behavior
    • 5.5 Secure Global Supply Chains for Information, Communications, and Operational Technology Products and Services
  • July 31, 2023 National Workforce and Education Strategy, Pillar 3, Expand and Enhance America’s Cyber Workforce and Strategic Objective 3.4: Enhance International Engagements
    • Lines of Effort:
      • 3.4.1.  Collaborate with international partners and allies on workforce development best practices.
