This interactive lesson explains physical and environmental protection controls--measures taken to protect systems, buildings and the supporting infrastructure against threats associated with their physical environment. Self-assessment activities challenge students to identify which physical security controls could protect vital equipment and systems from threats such as bad actors piggybacking or dumpster diving, or power interruptions caused by thunderstorms.
