Ben Janis is a Senior Embedded Security Engineer at MITRE, where he focuses on embedded security research and development. His expertise lies in developing compiler-assisted countermeasure insertion and automated vulnerability detection tools. In addition, Ben manages and contributes to several of MITRE’s workforce development initiatives. These include the Embedded Capture the Flag (eCTF) Competition, high school courses offered through the Beaver Works Summer Institute at MIT, a series of embedded security workshops, and MITRE’s participation in the Northeast Microelectronics Commons. Ben has a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Tufts University and a Master of Science in cybersecurity from Northeastern University.
