Introduction to Cloud with Azure

The National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (NCyTE) and the Washington State Center of Excellence for Cybersecurity (CoECyber) have partnered together to provide professional development opportunities to Washington State community college faculty as part of their mission to support those interested in becoming cybersecurity faculty, or faculty wishing to enhance their skills and knowledge in the cybersecurity field.
Stipends are available to approved applicants to support the course fee of $600 and exam voucher for the following course.
Introduction to Cloud with Azure: Join us for this hands-on workshop, designed for those who are just beginning to work with Azure. This audience wants to learn about our offerings and get hands-on experience with the product. This course primarily uses the Azure portal and command line interface to create resources and does not require scripting skills. Students in this course will gain confidence in using the technologies, as well as the purpose of many services and how in the real world, Cloud Based Computing can aid business practices. This course combines lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on labs.
Requirements:
- You must register and complete all application information by the deadline of January 19, 2023
- You must be approved for the stipend by NCyTE/(CoECyber). No more than two stipends per person will be approved.
- You must be an instructor at a regionally accredited U.S. Community College in a business, information technology, or other degree program
- You must successfully complete the course
- You must fill out a post-course evaluation
Note: If you receive a stipend for the professional development class and must drop, you must notify Karen Stanton at karen.stanton@wastc.org no less than one week before the start of the class. Failure to do so will result in a $100 drop fee that will be invoiced to you.
