Learn more about CISSP Experience Requirements.

About the Workshop:

Earning the CISSP proves you have what it takes to effectively design, implement, and manage a best-in-class cybersecurity program. With a CISSP, you validate your expertise and become an (ISC)² member, unlocking a broad array of exclusive resources, educational tools, and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

This course provides all student materials, flash cards and the CISSP CBK. As an (ISC)² Global Academic Program (GAP) Member, CSSIA will be offering the CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) training. This training course will review and refresh your information security knowledge and help identify areas you may need to study for the CISSP exam. The CISSP exam tests one’s competence in the ten CISSP domains of the (ISC)² CBK, which cover critical topics in security today, including risk management, cloud computing, mobile security, application development security and more; it is one of the most sought-after certifications in today’s information security industry. Instruction will also utilize labs developed that align with the NSA Knowledge Units.

Stipend:

Eligible community college faculty who successfully pass the CISSP certification exam will receive a stipend toward the cost of the certification.

To be eligible for the stipend, you must:

  • Currently teach credit courses (full-time or adjunct) at a regionally accredited U.S. community or technical college
  • Provide evidence that you passed the certification exam, such as a copy of the certification or exam report
  • Provide a current W9 tax form to the NCyTE Center

Facilitators:

  • Kevin Vaccaro has over thirty years of experience in information technology, cyber defense, and computer forensics. Kevin is a full-time tenured faculty member and program lead for the MVCC IT Security Specialist programs.
