We are accepting applications for U.S. community and technical college faculty only.  Apply by February 25, 2024!

The National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center (NCyTE) and the Washington State Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) are funding a limited number of $600 scholarships for one of the following virtual workshops to eligible community college faculty as part of their mission to support cybersecurity instruction and to encourage faculty who want to teach cybersecurity.

Workshop Information (apply for one):

CCNAv7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials (SRWE): Saturdays, 8-10AM PST

The second of three courses that make up the CCNAv7 curriculum and aligns to the competencies outlined for the CCNA Certification Exam. Content covers the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in small networks and introduces wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts. Participants learn how to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches for advanced functionality using security best practices and resolve common issues with protocols in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. Participants are required to have successfully completed the Introduction to Networks (ITN) course prior to beginning this course or have equivalent knowledge and skills.

CCNP Advanced Routing and Services [ENARSI]:  Saturdays, 8-10AM PST

One of two courses that align to the overall CCNP Enterprise certification. This course provides an in-depth knowledge to support the implementation and troubleshooting of advanced routing technologies and services including layer 3 VPN services, infrastructure security and infrastructure services used in enterprise networks. Books are required. It is recommended that participants have CCNA or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Cyber Security Operations Associate: Saturdays, 8-10AM PST

This course aligns with the Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate (CBROPS) certification. Cybersecurity Operations Associate is a hands-on, career-oriented course with an emphasis on practical experience to help participants develop specialized skills to successfully handle the tasks, duties and responsibilities of an associate-level Security Analyst working in a Security Operations Center. It is recommended that participants have familiarity with Cisco Packet Tracer.
