Security Engineering for Safety-Critical Systems
7/17 – 8/11 Asynchronous 8/14 – 8/18 Synchronous
This workshop addresses the unique challenges inherent to securing systems that also need to meet safety standards. This course introduces necessary real-time systems theory and existing standards for safety-critical infrastructure and cyber-physical systems.
The topics include principles of real-time safety-critical systems, reliability and fault tolerance for safety-critical systems, secure software development lifecycle (S-SDLC) for high assurance systems, and applications to industrial control systems and space flight software. Participants will receive 4 CEU's for this workshop
