Online Membership Application-Higher Education

To qualify for NCyTE Center membership, institutions of higher education must have regional accreditation from one of the accrediting agencies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the U.S. Department of Education.

Benefits of NCyTE Center Membership for Colleges & Universities

  • Curriculum resources, including downloadable materials for a new course in Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity, designed specifically for community colleges
  • Travel support to attend cybersecurity-related conferences and events for professional development
  • Information about how colleges and universities can apply for the CAE designation
  • Student development through the Western Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (WRCCDC), Pacific Rim Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, and the National Cyber League
  • Access to industry partners for internships, workshops, and speakers who can share their real-life experiences working in cybersecurity
  • Resources for conducting workshops and outreach to women, veterans, and other groups who are underrepresented in the cybersecurity field
  • Visibility through the NCyTE Center website, newsletter, and reports

Responsibilities of NCyTE Center Membership for Educational Institutions

  • Submit a completed Membership Application (below)
  • Identify an institutional representative
  • Attend consortium meetings electronically or in person
  • Participate in NCyTE Center dissemination activities and events
  • Share cybersecurity/information assurance ideas and programs for dissemination and collaboration among consortium members
  • Contribute to the growth and strengthening of the local cybersecurity workforce
